Election Day
Today is voting day. I like to vote. I like to know I got a chance to say what I want and who I think will best represent me. I like getting the "I Voted" sticker and wearing it all day.
Last week, a young man came to our door asking for Jon. I called Jon over and the young man said, "I'm coming by to remind you that next week is election day. I want to remind you to vote." Note, he only asked for Jon. No one came looking for me? What the heck is that about? Doesn't my vote count too? Did the voter reminder people get confused when I told the Democratic survey kid a few months ago that I am Conservatively Liberal? I thought it was a clever way to explain my politics without having to check Democrat or Republican. Regardless of whether they want me to vote or not -- I did. So there.
