New Month, Same Old Quarantine
It’s May 1st. May. The sun is shining, the trees and flowers are blooming, the birds are singing, and I am still home. While some states may be doing a phased re-opening, Washington (where I work), is still closed. I don’t know when I will be able to go back to work. Some days I am full of energy and ideas and get a lot of stuff done, and other days, I just want to sleep or curl up with books for the entire day. Today is one of those days. I think I will take many reading breaks during my workday today.

P.S. Do not play Monopoly with your family right now, or really ever. It always ends badly.
Stay safe and healthy, and be kind.
It’s almost Mother’s Day and I found this beautiful bouquet of poppies from Farmgirl Flowers that come delivered in an awesome vase. It helps that the arrangement is called Breakfast Tacos.

This SNL At Home sketch with Kate McKinnon and her cat made my week.
I think I crave a croissant everyday. This video of French croissant-making process is mesmerizing. I do have the next best thing though, croissants from Roost. Roost is a local coffee and pastry shop that has delectable treats. Their croissants are really, really good. If you’re local, you can place an order online to pick up. They even have a window that faces the sidewalk so you don’t need to go inside.
This embroidered piece is a direct translation from my brain. You can see more from this artist, Cate McCleery, on her Instagram.
