Rewrites and April

Working on rewrites is exhausting, and most the time I don't want to do it. I have found a new distraction to help me procrastinate—April. Not the month of, but the giraffe. An Internet sensation for the last three months, April is due to have her fourth calf.

I've been watching April, who has been pregnant longer than that can of Lima beans has been in my cupboard, on the Animal Adventure Park's webcam every day. I check in with her here and there to see if there are any updates or any hooves poking out of her vagina. Nothing yet, but I'm hopeful. The park even started a text message alert subscription. For $4.99 they will send you updates of any changes. I was tempted to sign up, but then realized I would no longer have a reason to procrastinate.
