Happy National Pencil Day

General's Cedar Pointe Pencil #2

Drop those Bics and Papermates. Put down your Pilots and Uniballs. Today is Pencil Day. Nothing else will do- why would you even want to write with something you can't erase? (The erasable pens don't count- they're stupid.)

Until this morning I was unaware there was a national day for pencils. I shouldn't have been surprised since there are national days for everything now, but pencils really do deserve it. My favorite is the General's Cedar Pointe #2-- the best pencil (and eraser) I have ever used. I once wrote an entire blog post on these writing implements, so I will spare you now.

If you needed a reason to write today, here it is. I'm going to take it as a sign. Happy writing...and erasing.
